An afternoon of deep rest, amongst the fresh air and tall trees of the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. Facilitated by Kimberley Roberts.
Restorative Yoga is the perfect antidote to a stressful life. This practice uses props to support the body so you can rest in the poses for some time, eliciting the relaxation response and therefore allowing for deep healing.
Muscular tension melts away without effort as you release into the supports that cradle your body. Your nervous system is deeply soothed, blood pressure and stress hormone levels drop and your heart rate, breathing rate and brain waves all slow down as you experience an all encompassing feeling of calm. Restorative Yoga counters the effects of chronic stress and many of it's symptoms such as anxiety, digestive problems, inflammation, and pain. Your immune system receives a boost and with regular practice you naturally become less reactive and more resilient.
This is a practical workshop in which you will experience deep and profound rest. Alongside this you will learn simple techniques that you can incorporate into your daily life.
Please bring your journal.
"Thank you so much for your restorative yoga workshop. I thought you'd like to know how great we feel today. My husband slept well last night and all morning which isn't like him at all. But, more than that, he's been a lot more relaxed. I have been re-energised and feel like I have more space. Those poses are magic! Thanks again for doing such important work for us."

"Great to devote a full session to restorative yoga, especially because life is so busy. So to allow rest to be prioritised for 3 hours is perfect - especially when guided so beautifully."
